OMNIO · Sustainability

Quieter shopping, smaller footprint.

We don't think sustainability needs a banner. It needs better defaults — less plastic, slower options that actually arrive on time, and fewer returns thrown away. Here's how we're doing.

Packaging that goes back in the loop

97% of our outbound packaging is curbside-recyclable in the EU. Padding is paper, not plastic. Tape is FSC-certified, water-activated kraft. No single-use plastic mailers.

Fewer trucks, fewer flights

We default to ground shipping across the EU, group orders heading to the same region, and offer a slower 5-day option that reduces per-order emissions by up to 38%.

Returns we can actually re-shelve

Returned items go through a 12-point quality check at our Frankfurt hub. Re-sellable items go back into stock. Cosmetic blemishes get a discount, not a landfill.

Suppliers held to a checklist

Every supplier signs our basics: living-wage commitments, no single-use plastics in primary packaging, and verified factory addresses. We audit randomly twice a year.

Frequently asked

Are you carbon neutral?

Not yet — we don't use that label because we think it's often misleading. We measure our scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, publish them annually, and reduce where we can. Offsets are a small piece, not the headline.

Where do I find your impact report?

Our 2025 report is published in March 2026 — covers shipped tonnage, packaging mix, emissions per order, and return reuse rate. Email sustainability@omnio.example for early access.

Do you sell second-hand or refurbished?

Pilot launching late 2026 in the Tech category — lightly-used returns sold at a discount with the same one-year warranty as new.
